Dark Complexion?? See what suits you!!!

People with dark complexion might always find difficulty in choosing the best color  that suits them. Never wear colors that blend with your skin. That is, the color of ones cloth should not match with ones complexion. Wear colors that gives enough contrast to your skin.

Most light colors like White, Pink, Cream, Yellow as well as Mustard, Brick colors look really harmonious with your skin. White color gives a stunning contrast to your skin whereas colors like pink can even bring out a blush to your cheeks.

Use soft cloths like blended cotton and micropolyster. Those kinds of cloths would look really adorable to your skin. Straight fit trousers and long tunic would give a classic look. But make sure to have slits on both sides of your cloth, even if your wearing a tunic or a kameez. Avoid plain tunics and go for cloths with some simple works done on it. And wear tunics that lie above your knee level.

To be more stylish, wear  bold colored sarees. . .

If you can identify your skin tone you will have no trouble picking out the ideal colors for clothing, jewelry, makeup and accessories. And most importantly, love your skin, go for what suits you the best!!!

Acne!!! NIGHTMARE!!!

Everyone has experienced acne problems in their life. Acne is a skin condition that causes whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red growths. These growths are commonly called pimples or "zits." Acne occurs when tiny holes on the surface of the skin, called pores, become clogged.

Its really irritating that most boyfriends find those inflamed red pimples to be some kind of symbol for their successfull love :x. They just dont understand our suffering caused due to those scary zits :( . And when these pimples grow larger, it just becomes more painful :(.

Acne causes redness around the skin erruption. And eventually creates dark spots even after the pimple has gone. Its always a nightmare to most teens. But acne problems can happen to anyone at any age. And it varies on different people depending on their skin type.

Now, here are some points that we should  NOT do:

  • Try not to squeeze, scratch, or rub the pimples. To be honest, its always tempting to prick on these pimples. But attempting to do so might cause spreading of the infection and even scarring. And most of the scariest scars are caused due to pricking these pimples.
  • Avoid greasy creams and cosmetics. Do not wear too much make-up.

Oily skin and dandruff  invites in acne problems. So always keep your face and hair clean. Rinse your face regularly with cold water. This is very effective for people with oily skin. There are many facepacks available in  market today. Using facepacks is also good, as it gives good cleansing effect to your skin and prevents clogging of pores. But be sure to opt for the right facepack that is suitable for your skin. Avoid chemical facepacks and try to use the natural ones.

Also make sure to take treatments for dandruff and keep your scalp neat and clean. Dandruff treatments are available in almost all beauty parlours. You can also do a simple Hot Oil treatment at home.

Reduce consumption of  fried food (which are commonly oily), icecreams, chocolates etc. to only like once in a while, so that you wont miss eating those food. Include lots of water, fruits and salads in to your list.

Moreover if your acne is severe, then it is best to consult a dermatologist as soon as possible. Stop trying out your own solutions and find the right treatment with the help of a doctor. Clindamicin Phosphate Gel USP is an oinment that a docter suggested me when i had acne. This is only a mild antibiotic for normal acne. Vulgar ones may need higher dosed medicines.

I would like to suggest some basic easy tips one can try at home itself :
    • Make a paste using peeled cucumber along with the seeds inside it and apply on your face. Rinse after half an hour. This paste acts as a bleach and removes excess oil from your skin. It controls acne and lightens the dark spots and scars caused by the pimples.
    • Paste of ripen papaya also controls acne. Be sure to peel off its outer skin thickly.
    • Mixture of sandal powder and turmeric powder can also be applied for controlling acne. Be sure to rinse it off before drying. But be careful while using this, because turmeric could cause allergic reactions to some people. Red sandalwood is another alternative. make a paste of red sandalwood with honey (combination skin) , milk or oil(dry skin) ,lemon(oily skin).
    • Mixture of honey and lemon juice is helpful in removing dark spots.
    • A mixture of grinded curry leaf and turmeric powder is very effective in drying inflamed red pimples and removing the white pus inside. Another advantage is that it doesnt leave any spots or scars.
    • Paste of green gram powder and red sandalwood with water is another product i used during my acne days.
Try to drink a glass of green tea every day morning. green tea is a bit bitter, but is rich in antioxidants, and helps in faster rejuvenation. I started drinking green tea when i got acne due to travel after marriage, and it has shown result ever since. Its been over 6 months now, and my face is completely healed from zits with no scars left behind. Another measure i took, was to invest in a good face wash. I wash my face using facewash every day, morning and night, before going to bed. Never, ever go to bed with makeup on your skin, be it any cream or powder or colour. It will clog the pores and result in acne. I don't use any night creams as such, but if i feel that my skin is dry, i just take a dab of light cream, rub it on my palm and tap on my face.

There are many more methods and measures to avoid and get rid of acne, but this is what i did to say bye to acne. Most important of all, Dont Prick On Your Pimples to avoid scars. Scars made by pricking stays longer and is difficult to fade than the scars created naturally by the pimple.

Hoping, this post will be useful to few. Do have a speedy recovery :)

    Am i Pretty?? 0_0

The most random question asked by teens on most of the "finding-solution" sites is whether they are pretty or not. Its true that all teens go through this stage when they become really beauty conscious. And most schools have "beauty queens/ kings" chosen among the kids themselves, and may be even  small gangs containing students of the same kind etc...

Its really tough in our teenage . . . but as years goes by, one learns to perfect themselves and be elegant. The competition still doesnt end there, but still ones knows how to look good.

Each and every creation of God is beautiful, one way or the other. Ones beauty isn't only the outer appearance which includes grace, charm, elegance, etc, but the inner one too, which includes all physical factors. "Face is the mirror of your heart". Once we are beautiful at heart, we are naturally beautiful outside. Peace, Calmness, Humbleness, etc. are some ways of attaining a beautiful heart.

To be honest, physical beauty plays a very important role in the present society. A good looking or a neatly dressed person tends to be impressed more by the people around. Even while attending an interview, the candidate seems to produce an immediate impression on the interviewers just by looking elegant and neat.

A smiling face is always beautiful. There are many people whose got a sweet permanent smile on their face and this envelopes them with a special beauty. Always try to put a smile on your face. This makes you look radiant and bright.

Improving ones appearance will boost confidence and self esteem. People who are not satisfied with their appearance slips in to using makeups. I would suggest usage of makeup, but in a minimal quantity. Don't over do your makeups and bring about an artificial look. People like naturality. And try to look natural at the best.

Adapt your on style, rather than following the latest trends and fashion. Do what seems pleasing and comfortable to you. Dont compare with your peers. And most importantly, BE YOURSELF!!!
